Brian Maillet Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Richardson Funeral Home - Leominster on Dec. 5, 2025.
It is with loving hearts and cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Brian D. "Mal" Maillet on November 28, 2025, at his home in Leominster, MA. Born on August 11, 1956, in Fitchburg, MA, Mal's life was a testament to his loving, funny, and friendly nature that touched everyone he knew.

Mal's journey began as the beloved son of the late Ronald and Gloria (LeBlanc) Maillet. He grew up alongside his brothers, Michael, with his wife Shari of Oregon, Paul, with his wife Jeri-Lyn of Fitchburg, and the late David, forming bonds that were as strong as they were meaningful. Mal was a proud graduate of St. Bernards High School, where he laid the foundation for a lifetime of friendships and achievements.

Professionally, Mal dedicated many years to Fisher Auto Parts of Leominster, where he was known for his unwavering work ethic and the camaraderie he shared with his colleagues. His commitment to his work was matched only by his commitment to his community, as evidenced by his longstanding membership with the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Leominster. There, Mal could often be found sharing stories and a beer with lifelong friends.

Mal's personal life was rich with love and laughter, as he was a devoted husband to his wife of 26 years, Joan, and a guiding light to his stepson, William Coulter. His granddaughter, Grace, was the apple of his eye, and he cherished every moment spent with her. Mal's love extended to his four-legged companion, Gordon, a cockapoo who was ever by his side.

An avid fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, Mal's enthusiasm for his teams was contagious. His green thumb was evident to all who admired his meticulously maintained yard, a space that brought him great pride and joy. Mal's love for the outdoors was further expressed through the many camping trips he enjoyed with Joan throughout New England, creating memories at the beach and in the heart of Maine.

Mal's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his brothers and their wives, his adoring wife, stepson, granddaughter, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends who were like family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the warmth of his humor, the kindness of his friendship, and the depth of his love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Brian D. "Mal" Maillet lived a life that exemplified the best of us. As we say goodbye, we also say thank you - for the laughter, the companionship, and the love. Mal's story is one of a life well-lived and well-loved, and his memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a service to follow in the funeral home.
