Brian A. Massie, 41, of Chillicothe, passed at 8:37 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 unexpectedly.
He was born July 13, 1983, in Ross County, Ohio, to John and Cathy Massie both who survive and live in Chillicothe.
Also surviving are daughters, Leigha Massie, of Chillicothe and Ashlynn Moore and her boyfriend, Kenton Chamberlin; a brother, Shawn Sutherland, of Chillicothe; a sister, Brittany (TJ) Reinsmith, of Chillicothe; an aunt, Carol (Art) Whitcomb; and nieces, Alayna Sutherland and Layla Reinsmith. He was predeceased by grandparents, Helen and Buster Sutherland, Jean and Sherman Massie and Virginia Johnston; a niece, Lacey Sutherland; an uncle, Wayne Massie; and a nephew, Caleb Sutherland.
Brian was a 2001 Graduate of Huntington High School. He enjoyed collecting and working on guitars and guns. Brian was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati Bengal Fan. He enjoyed passing music back and forth with his dad and riding bicycles with his brother on the bike trail between Chillicothe and Washington Court House. Above all, Brian loved his family, especially his daughters.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Mitchell Salyers officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
