Brian McMasters Obituary
Brian Martin McMasters, a man of profound integrity and kindness, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on July 30, 1958, to Elizabeth A. (Kennedy) McMasters and John F. McMasters, Brian's life was a testament to the values of love, family, and service.
Brian's journey through life was shared with his beloved wife, Jane McMasters (Perrone), with whom he built a legacy of love and devotion. Together, they raised three sons, Brendan M. McMasters, Ryan P. McMasters, and Kevin D. McMasters, who were the pride and joy of his life. Brian's favorite role was as grandpa to Brody, Madeline, Walter, Dillon, Declan, and Luca McMasters teaching them how to get into mischief. He was the proud uncle to 24 nieces and nephews, who he loved to laugh with. Brian's family was the cornerstone of his existence, and he was a constant source of strength and support for each of them.
Also survived by his brothers John F. McMasters, Jr., and Kerry M. McMasters.
Brian's dedication to education and personal growth was evident in his achievements. He earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Northeastern University and furthered his education with a certificate from the Harvard University School of Bartending. His pursuit of knowledge and excellence was a lifelong endeavor.
Professionally, Brian served with distinction as a Sergeant Detective for the Boston Police Department. His commitment to justice and his community was unwavering throughout his career. He was respected by his colleagues and those he served for his fairness and his unwavering dedication to the law.
A devout Catholic, Brian watched Catholic TV every day, drawing strength and inspiration from his faith. His spirituality was a guiding force in his life, providing him with comfort and purpose.
Those who knew Brian would describe him as an instigator with a great sense of humor. He was a man who listened more than he spoke, and when he did share his words, they were always insightful. Brian's presence was a source joy and humor.
Brian Martin McMasters lived a life that was rich in love, faith, and service. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his gentle spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and a blueprint for a life well-lived. Brian's departure from this world is felt deeply by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day.
Brian's long survival is a credit to his angel, Meghan Smith whose lungs he received in January 2019.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bridget Parish 455 Plymouth St. Abington on Friday January 3rd at 11:00am.
