Nora DelConte Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home on Feb. 1, 2026.
DelConte, Nora E. "Betty" (O'Gorman), age 91, of Sagamore Beach, formerly of Milton and Manomet, passed away on January 30th surrounded by her family at her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter L. DelConte.

Born to the late Daniel R. and Nora J. (Lydon) O'Gorman, originally of County Cork and County Spiddal, Ireland. Betty carried her family's Irish spirit throughout her life.

She was the devoted mother of Steven DelConte and his late wife Joanne (Kelley) of Milton, Debra Reale and her husband Joe of South Carolina, David DelConte of Sagamore Beach, Kathleen Cotter and her husband George of Duxbury, Sharon DelConte of Manomet, and her late daughter Linda Marie of Milton. She was the loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her siblings Mary Kennedy, Eileen Fitzgerald, and Richard O'Gorman, all formerly of Norwood. She is survived by her sister Margaret Pelletier of Norwood, and her beloved dog "Ted".

Betty enjoyed shopping, walking along the Cape Cod Canal while taking in the ocean air, and reminiscing about her summers on Manomet Beach with family and lifelong friends.

For more than 20 years, Betty was a proud member of the women's "Coffee and Donuts Bowling League" in Buzzards Bay, a community she enjoyed dearly.
