(Née Dunner) Stephanie Joy DelConte, on Dec. 24, 2023, age 34, of Medford, NJ. Beloved wife of Nicholas DelConte. Cherished mother of Austin and Aubrey. Greatly loved daughter of Jay and Annette (née DiPaolo) Dunner of Atco, NJ. Dear daughter-in-law of Lisa Supino. Loved sister of Joey Carroll. Loved grand-daughter of Helen Gerle. Dear niece of Jason Gerle (Denise), Richard Dunner (Gregory Palmer), and Debra DiFilipo.
Survived by family members John Carroll, Stacey Hamilton Carroll, and extended family members Michael and JoAnn Brennan.
Pre-deceased by family members Sherri Gerle, Joseph and Lucy DiPaolo, John Sr. and Betty Dunner, and Thomas Dunner.
Stephanie was creative and expressed herself in a number of ways. She started at an early age with dance and the crafting side of Brownies. Then, after exploring youth soccer, a couple years of synchronized roller-skating, and a mad rush to collect every Beanie Baby ever made, she embraced her artistic side. She studied clarinet, achieving recognition as a participant in what is now known as All-South Jersey Elementary Honors Band.
Taking after her dad and mom, she taught herself guitar. She participated in band until she was graduated from Paul VI High School in 2007. She remained an avid fan of Backstreet Boys, N-Sync, Avril Lavigne, and Melanie Martinez.
Art was Stephanie's anchor. As early as 3rd grade, her artwork was selected to be displayed in a township post office, as part of a school project in crayon-antiquing. Though all her years, her art included detailed cartooning, scripted lettering, and near-photographic renditions of lots of flowers!
Stephanie had a warm and quiet side that was very evident with her successive pets – her beagle Isabelle and her chihuahua Milo. But she also had an infectious giggle and a ready flair for the dramatic, often expressed in uninhibited silliness with her dad and mom. She won prizes for her creative costumes (an M&M, a bag of dog food) in a number of her neighborhood's annual Halloween parade contests. She laughed a lot, loved Scooby-Doo, binge-watched Free Willy movies, and ravenously absorbed every Harry Potter novel.
Stephanie then decided to share all these aspects of herself when she fell in love with Nick DelConte, and they were married on March 19, 2019.
Now, Stephanie's artistic flair continues unabated through Austin (expressed in his music, writing, art) and Aubrey (expressed in her fashion flair, hair-styling, gymnastics).
And Stephanie will always be remembered for her crystal-blue, sparkling eyes.
Relatives and friends of the family will meet for her viewing and funeral on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 from 10:00am to 11:30am at the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30am Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
