Brian McNally Obituary

Brian T. McNally, 32, passed away on the afternoon of January 12, 2025. A beloved father, son, brother, and friend, Brian's glowing smile will never fade from the memories of those who knew him. Born in Hartford on June 30, 1992, to parents Dawn McCartan and Roy McNally, he would spend his early years in Manchester, CT, where he attended Manchester High. It was during this time that Brian met his high school sweetheart, Zeneche "Shay" Douglas. The couple welcomed two beloved daughters together: Brielle and Airielle. The girls instantly became the center of Brian's universe. He never missed the opportunity to spend time with his kids and cherished every moment with them. They enjoyed vacations together in the summer and spent countless days making memories together in the park. Brielle and Airielle filled Brian's life with more love and pride than he knew possible. Brian dedicated his career to the food-service industry and relished his role as "Chef Brian." He would use his professional passion of cooking as an outlet for his creativity at home as well, grilling and cooking all kinds of dishes for his family. He also enjoyed sports; excelling in football and basketball in his youth and remaining an avid fan of Boston sports throughout his life. Brian's personality, sense of humor, and capacity for fun will live on in the minds and hearts of his family and friends. Brian is legacy is carried on by his two beloved daughters Brielle and Airielle, mother Dawn McCartan of West Hartford, father and stepmother Roy and Tonya McNally of Tolland, his little brother and best friend Drew McNally, and his grandparents Tom and Carol McNally, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended members of the McNally, McCartan, and Cooney families. Brian was preceded in death by his grandfather and namesake, Brian McCartan.
