Brian M. Mellberg was welcomed to heaven on February 25th 2025 in his home in McBain. He was born to Randy Mellberg and Jody McClellan (Stegman) on November 15th 1984. He was 40.
Brian lived in McBain, MI most of his life and graduated from McBain Rural Agricultural School in 2004. For decades he worked as an honest, respected man in the work force.
While on earth, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching as well as playing hockey and sharing stories of his many adventures which includes him surviving testicular cancer. He coveted time with his children and was looking forward to being a grandpa for the first time in July. His strong work ethic, servant-leadership and love for others will live on forever.
Brian deeply loved his family including Mary (Vanderwall) his wife of 15 years; daughter Jazmin Mellberg (Keegan Lane), daughter Magnolia Mellberg, son Alexzander Mellberg, and son Brantley Mellberg. Parents Randy (Carol) Mellberg and Jody (Billy) Stegman. Grandfather Wayne (Bev) Elowsky. Brother Joshua (Heather) Mellberg and sister Erica (Shawn) Barnes. In-laws Robert (Joanne) Vanderwall. As well as sister in laws Joanne Dewey, Dena Vanderwall and Bobbie (Nick) Burton and brother-in-law Kevin (Joye) Vanderwall. Plus many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews as well as aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his Grandma Ellie Elowsky and Grandma Kay McClellan as well as a grandfather Fredrick Mellberg and aunts Wendy MacDonald and Trish Bogart.
Brian will be cremated and plans for memorial to be announced in the spring. The family is being served by the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain. Thoughts and prayers can be expressed to the family by visiting the online obituary. As well as contributions to the GoFundMe at
