Brian Nixon Obituary
Brian served his country in the Army from 1972 until 1975. He married the love of his life, Carrie (Cline) Nixon in 1973.
Brian served as a corrections officer from October 1978 until April of 2007.
Brian and Carrie have three beautiful children, Ken (Jen) Nixon, Darcy (Todd) Williams, and David (Pat) Nixon.
Brian loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter with his great friend, Wilber Bayse.
One of Brian's greatest blessings was playing with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Nixon. Children, Ken (Jen) Nixon, Darcy (Todd) Williams, and David (Pat) Nixon. Grandchildren, Dan (Marlaina) Nixon, Bryan (Abbey) Holton, Skyler (Curtis) Root, Heather (Jareth) Williams, Eve Williams, and Logan Nixon. Great-grandchildren, Brysen Holton, Amera Nixon, Elijah Nixon, Rose King. Sister, Deb (Wayne) Bolton.
Brian is preceded by his parents, Walter Sr. and Thelma Nixon. Brothers, Richard Nixon, Polly Nixon, William (Pat) Nixon, Walter (Beth) Nixon Jr.. Sister, Caroline Allen (Jack)
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. A visitation will be held at the funeral home the day prior, Friday, February 27, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home of Ionia.
