A Celebration of Life for Brian Joseph Pellerin, will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Verdunville, LA, Reverend Francis Kwasi Agbley, officiating.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM, until the commencement of the mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Verdunville, LA.
Recitation of the Rosary at 10:00 AM, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Verdunville, LA.
Brian Pellerin, affectionately known as "Big One" by his family, transitioned peacefully to eternal life on Thursday, September 4th shortly after midnight, surrounded by his loving wife of twenty-five years and his beloved sister. Brian leaves to mourn his cherished wife Carla Broussard Pellerin, his only son Tyreek Solomon Pellerin, his only sister Jeaneen Moton King-Ellis, his brother Myron Moton (Cheryl Lee), and his brother Troy Moton, along with his nieces, nephew and a host of cousins and friends. Brian was preceded in death by his mother Olga Pellerin-Francis, his grandparents, Ira L. Pellerin, Sr. and Gertrude Gobert Pellerin as well as his only uncle Ira L. Pellerin, Jr. (Ivory Jane) and his only aunt and godmother Malvenia Pellerin-Keller.
Brian graduated from Hanson Memorial High School in 1972. After graduating, he worked as a deputy with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's department to be followed by a long and productive career as a station operator with Trunkline gas company in Patterson, LA where he retired after approximately thirty-six years.
Brian was incredibly knowledgeable on a wide range of topics. He was an excellent conversationalist. He believed in challenging conventional thought. Brian will be dearly missed by his family which includes a host of cousins who were more like his siblings. Their bond was undeniable and too numerous to name in this moment. He also has cherished connections from his working years that will miss him as well. Please keep all of us who will miss his presence so deeply in your prayers.
