Beloved brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Age 65 years. The son of the late Rufus and Nancy (Gulvas) Popielarz, Brian was born on October 20, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan. Brian found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved watching Detroit Lions games, especially alongside his brothers and uncle, and cherished time spent camping with his close friends on Lake George. A devoted volunteer, Brian rarely missed lending a hand at the Knights of Columbus Council #593 bingo nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays. More than anything, Brian valued the time he shared with his family-his greatest source of pride and happiness.

Surviving are four siblings, James Popielarz, Saginaw; Donald (Anglau) Popielarz, Saginaw; Shari (Patrick) Crofton, Estero, Florida; Scott (Cindy) Popielarz, Saginaw; nieces and nephews, Michael (Stefanie), Carol (Zach), Don Jr, Kathleen (Duncan), Courtney, Aaron and Hanna. Brian was preceded in death by his nephew, Thomas James in 2019.

Brian's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Aunt Debbie Dise, Carson and Michelle Newbauer family and Covenant At Home Hospice for their support, generosity and loving and compassionate care.

Honoring the wishes of the family, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Brian's life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Fr. John Mancini, OSFS will officiate. Private interment will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Covenant At Home Hospice or American Cancer Society.
