Brian Christopher Rose, 56, of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away at his home on October 28, 2024. Born on April 22, 1968, he was the beloved son of Lawrence Godfrey Rose and the late Janet Gay Martin Rose. Chris was a dedicated and hardworking man, employed for many years with ADT Security before spending over five years as a bus driver with OmniRide. A proud member of the Teamsters Local 639, Chris took great pride in his work and was committed to his community. Gifted in music, Chris was an accomplished guitarist, singer, and songwriter, sharing his passion and talents with those around him. An extrovert by nature, he loved meeting and talking with people. He was a great storyteller. Among his cherished memories were times spent in his childhood home in Lorton, surrounded by family and sharing precious moments with his beloved children and grandchildren. Above all, Chris considered his role as a father and grandfather to be one of his greatest accomplishments. He took immense pride in his family and worked tirelessly to support and care for them. Chris was a longtime member of Pohick Church in Lorton, Virginia. Chris will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, who touched many lives with his enthusiasm, talent, and devotion.
Including his father, he is survived by his loving children, Courtney Lynn Rose Ayres (Christopher), Rebecca Rose Smoot (Hunter), Preslie Rose Stovall (Jacob), and Christopher Tyler Rose; his caring sister and brothers, Susan Rose Pehrsson, Lawrence Gregory Rose, and Michael Bradley Rose. He is also survived by his adored grandchildren, Stetson Smoot and Lilly Ayres.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, Virginia 22191 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
A life celebration service will be held at Pohick Episcopal Church, 9301 Richmond Highway, Lorton Virginia 22079 on Thursday, November 21st, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Internment will follow at the church cemetery at the conclusion of the life celebration service.
