Brian P Stankard

Brian P. Stankard, 63, of Manchester, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Born in Jersey City, Brian was raised in North Bergen and later in Ridgefield. He lived in Hazlet from 2004 until 2022, when he relocated to Manchester.

Brian proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1980 to 1983. He went on to dedicate more than 25 years of service as a Police Officer with the North Bergen Police Department, serving from 1991 until his retirement in 2017.

Brian enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, and-most of all-making people laugh. He was a devoted fan of the New York Jets and the New York Mets. A deeply religious man, Brian loved speaking about God and his faith, which guided his life and relationships.

Brian is survived by his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Chelsea and David Goodman; his brother, Joseph E. Stankard IV; his cherished grandchildren, Bridget and Benjamin Goodman; his niece, Teresa Stankard; and his nephew, Joseph E. Stankard V.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a service at 11:00 a.m. at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
