Brian C. Stevens, 49, of Columbia, Illinois, born October 8, 1974 in Kirksville, Missouri, died Sunday, July 28, 2024 in Columbia, Illinois.
Brian grew up in Shelbyville, MO and graduated from North Shelby High School in 1993. He went on to get a nursing degree and was employed by Apollo Home Care. Brian enjoyed taking photos of his children and the various activities that they enjoyed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Stevens and his foster mother, Anita Miles.
Surviving are his wife, Tara Stevens, nee Rush; his children, Grayson, Brayden, and Daylen Stevens, all at home; his mother, Jacqueline Mittag of Kansas City, KS; his foster father, Merle Miles of Bethel, MO; his stepmother, Doris Stevens of Sedalia, MO: a brother, Michael Stevens of Chattanooga, TN; and two sisters, Melissa (Kris Baker) Zook of Raytown, MO and Jennifer Stevens of Sedalia, MO. He was also a dear son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Life Community Church in Columbia, Illinois, with Pastor Jamey Bridges officiating. Burial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Severance, KS with Pastor Dennis Jennings officiating.
