Brian Michael Stimson passed away July 19, 2025 at his home in Gallatin, Tennessee of natural causes. He was 72. Brian was born in Akron, Ohio to James Scott Stimson and Janet (Godwin Stimson) Heilmeier. He spent his childhood traveling the U.S. and the world as the son of an Air Force Officer. He graduated from Firestone High School in Akron and spent much of his adult life there. Like his father, Brian joined the United States Air Force and remained a proud veteran for the remainder of his life. After his service, he married Barbara Snyder and they had one daughter, Annie Stimson Clements. He also became the proud step-father to Derek Bleichrodt and Tad Snyder. After the marriage of his daughter to Steve Clements, he became a loving grandpa to Bebe and Felix Clements. He is survived by his children and grandchildren.
Later in life, Brian reunited with his high school girlfriend, Barbara (Savage) Andrews, whom he met in Oslo, Norway. Together they built their dream home in Tennessee, where they welcomed friends to play live music and enjoy their retirement. Brian was a musician and lover of all things music. He had a passion for MG cars and building custom motorcycles. He was also an animal lover and cat dad up until his passing.
In addition to his children and grandchildren, Brian is survived by his mother Janet, his sisters Allison Foster and Melissa Wilson, his brother Christopher Stimson, his step-sister Marion Carlson, step-brother Matt Raschke, nephews Jack and Cody Wilson and Dave Foster, and Barbara’s mother Mickie Savage. He was preceded in death by his spouse Barbara (Savage) Andrews.
