It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian E. Whittier, age 57, at
home on June 23, 2025 after a long struggle with Muscular Dystrophy.
Brian was the son of the late Edwin L. Whittier and is survived by his mother, Nancy Whittier of Attleboro, MA.
Brian is also survived by his wife of nearly 32 years, Pamela (Dyl) Whittier of Pawtucket, RI.
He leaves behind his four children: Step daughter Vanessa Montecalvo (Anthony) of
Pawtucket, RI, his two daughters, Adriana Otis (Justin) of East Providence, RI, Alexa
Whittier of Pawtucket, RI, and his son, Tyler Whittier of Pawtucket, RI. Brian is also
survived by his three grandchildren, "Pop" as they called him, Samuel & Jordan Montecalvo, and Julia Otis. Brian also leaves behind a brother, Michael Whittier (Robin) of Taunton, MA and a sister, Karen Zito of Andover, CT., along with several nieces, nephews, and wonderful in laws.
In his early years, Brian was an avid dirt bike rider and he also loved fishing. He was
employed at Mantrose-Haeuser for over two decades. Brian first and foremost cherished
his family. His children and grandchildren were the lights of his life. Anyone who knew
Brian would tell you what a wonderful father, friend, and person he was. Family vacations
and day trips with his children will always be cherished memories. Brian is loved by so
many and will be GREATLY missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Monday June 30,
2025 from 10am - 12pm at Duffy Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street Attleboro, MA. A
memorial service will immediately follow at noon in the funeral home. Interment will
follow in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
