Brian Williams was born on February 27, 1971, and departed this life on September 8, 2025, at Genesis Health Care Facility in Seaford, DE.
Brian courageously battled a rare degenerative disease, ALS aka Lou Gehrig’s disease, which he was diagnosed with two years ago. Though faced with this life-threatening illness, he never gave up hope for a long and fulfilling life. Fully aware of the challenges ahead, Brian chose to place his trust in the Lord, surrendering his life to Christ and finding peace in our Sovereign Savior, Jesus Christ.
Brian was educated in the Seaford School District. He worked at Auto Zone in both Seaford and Wilmington, Delaware, and later continued his career in the construction industry. Outside of work, Brian loved to swim—winning many trophies over the years—and was an enthusiastic fan of the Baltimore Ravens. Brian touched the lives of many with his sense of humor and outgoing nature. He had the ability to connect to anyone and made many new friends wherever he was.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted mother, Elva Wharton of Seaford, DE; his father, Brian Corbin of Wilmington, DE; his loving brothers, Antwine (Bill) Johns (Kiesha) of Bridgeville, DE; and Nigel Daniels of Wilmington, DE, his beloved children, Barbara (Barbie) Hendricks and Brianna Hendricks of Wilmington, DE, and Aaliyah McTeer of Milford, DE; seven cherished grandchildren; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Brian was especially fond of his Uncle Carl and Aunt Naomi Ruth Ricketts, who prayed faithfully throughout his illness. He loved them both dearly and held them close to his heart. Brian also shared a deep gratitude and love for Kietsa, whose unwavering support and dedication meant so much to him.
Brian will be remembered for his strength, his unshakable faith, and the hope he carried even in the face of hardship.
