Tracie's journey through life was marked by her vibrant personality and strong sense of community. She graduated from Easton High School with the Class of 1985 and held a life-long friendship with them. She continued her education at Chesapeake College, where she earned an Associates Degree in 1994. Her scholarly pursuits culminated in a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from Wilmington College in 2004.
