Born June 8, 1964, in Ottumwa, she was the daughter of Craig and Lorna (Bates) Shoemaker. She was a 1982 graduate of Marion High School. Bridget married Kevin Garretson that same year; they later divorced.
Bridget was a devoted mother, dance mom, and grandmother. She cherished time with family, crafting, her cats-Little Bit, Max, and Sam-and pursuing her spiritual path. She worked at Spirit's Journey, ReAlive, Bickford Cottage (with her mother), ASAC, and alongside Kevin in their photography business.
She is survived by her children: Dani (Jason) Showalter, Misty Voelker, Tiffany Garretson, Stormy (Gary Harvey) Garretson, and Nevada Garretson; her grandchildren: Lucas, Parker, Addy, Owen, Kinsley, Aiden, Finley, Murphy, Frankie, and Charlotte; as well as an uncle, cousins, a sister-in-law, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Shane. She will be greatly missed.
