Bridget LaMonaca Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartwright Funeral Home - Randolph on Feb. 22, 2026.
Bridget L. (McBride) LaMonaca, 82, of Randolph, formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, February 20, 2026.
She was the cherished daughter of the late John and Leocadia (Szymczak) McBride and the loving wife of the late Philip LaMonaca.
Bridget met the love of her life, Philip, in Boston's North End, where he was working as a bartender. A few years later, they were married at Lombardo's in East Boston and went on to build a beautiful life together rooted in love, devotion, and family. They raised four beloved daughters in Randolph, creating a strong foundation centered on loyalty, togetherness, and unconditional love. Family was always everything to Bridget, and the close-knit bond they shared remains one of her greatest legacies-a love lived wholeheartedly every day. Being a mother and "Noni" were her greatest joys and proudest accomplishments.
She was the beloved mother of Lisa Blakely of Randolph; Linda Perry of East Bridgewater and her late husband, Richard Perry, who was like a son to her, and held a very special place in her heart; Loretta Lyons and her husband, Marc, of Hingham; and Melissa Iskra and her husband, Anthony, of Raynham.
Bridget was the adored "Noni" of Philip, Brittany, Marina, Emma, Hannah, Mia, Abigail, Ella-Grace, Olivia, Jack Henry, Aidan, and Bridgette, and the cherished "Big Noni" of Colton, Renley, Camille, and Sonny.
She is also survived by her siblings Robert McBride and his wife, Marie; Paul McBride and his wife, Patricia; and Louise Sweeney.
She was predeceased by her sisters Josephine "Dada" Benson and Mary "Easher" Pokornicki, and her brothers Edward McBride, John McBride, and William McBride. She was also predeceased by her parents-in-law, Linda Ferrara and her husband, Charles, and Joseph LaMonaca.
She was the loving sister-in-law of Vincent Ferrara and the late Sr. Linda LaMonaco, SND.
Bridget is also survived by many close nieces and nephews and their families, as well as lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.
Our mother was truly loved by everyone who knew her. Her kind spirit, huge heart, and legendary vocabulary always kept us smiling and our hearts full. She was the brightest light in our lives, and while she will be deeply missed, her presence will always be felt through the values she taught us and the kindness she showed every day.
Bridget's life deserves to be celebrated. In lieu of services, the family will celebrate the incredible life she lived at a later date this summer.
