Jaylin Douglas Rainford

Jaylin Douglas Rainford, known affectionately as Jay to his friends and family was born on August 22, 2005 and left this world unexpectedly on January 25, 2026, at the young age of 20.

Jay was the beloved son of Eudolf and Jeneen Rainford. He was the cherished brother of Emaya Rainford and Kyianna Pollard, who shared a profound and enduring bond with him. Jaylin was the treasured grandson of Cynthia Rainford and Lester Holmes. Predeceased by Lorene Johnson and Douglas Rainford. Aunts, Cameil Rainford, Angela Rainford, Trena Matos-Ambroise, Rasheena Johnson, Sheila Rainford and Donna Rainford. Uncles, Everton Rainford, Clovis Rainford and Noel Rainford, Alix Ambroise, predeceased by Lance Johnson. Jaylin also leaves a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Jaylin will forever be remembered for his loving spirit and many special moments shared.

Jay was a proud graduate of Catholic Memorial High School, where his intelligence and spiritual nature made him a standout student. Jaylin was in his Junior Year at Bryant University where he studied business as a finance major, and his future was unquestionably destined to be bright.

Jay's interests extended far beyond the classroom. From a very young age, he was an avid soccer player, dedicating himself with enthusiasm and skill. However, Jay recently switched to track and field, and often said that his decision was inspired by a sense that God told him to try something different, a reflection of his deep faith and willingness to follow his heart.

Those who knew Jay would describe him as loving, intelligent, humble and spirited. He approached life with an enthusiasm and generosity that drew people to him, his smile could light up the darkest of rooms. Jay's ability to connect with others on a genuine level was one of his greatest gifts. His legacy will be the love and kindness he spread during his too-short time on earth.

As we mourn the loss of Jaylin Douglas Rainford, we also celebrate the profound impact he has had on all of us. His memory will be carried forward in the stories we share, the laughter we remember, and the love we continue to hold in our hearts. Jay's journey on this earth may have ended, but his story will be told for generations to come. May he rest in peace, knowing that his life was a precious gift that will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, February 6th, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 7th, at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Church, 211 No. Main St., Randolph. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery, Randolph.
