Noreen Caulfield Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartwright Funeral Home - Randolph on Jan. 30, 2026.
Noreen Teresa Caulfield, affectionately known as Nano, a beacon of kindness and faith, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on February 10, 1936, in the picturesque city of Galway, Ireland, Nano was the cherished daughter of the late Patrick and Julia (Concannon) Caulfield. Her life was a testament to the power of commitment to her loved ones and faith.

Nano's journey led her across the ocean to America at the young age of 17, where she found her calling serving the Archdiocese of Boston in Lynn. For 40 years, she dedicated herself as a live-in head maid, a role she performed with grace and diligence. Upon her well-deserved retirement, Nano returned to her beloved Ireland, where she enjoyed the tranquility of her homeland. However, fate had other plans, and a visit to America during the Covid pandemic extended her stay till her passing, allowing her to spend cherished additional time with her family stateside.

Nano's interests were as nurturing as her personality. She was an exceptional cook, whose dishes were not only nourishing but also a form of expression of her love and care. Her garden was a reflection of her inner beauty, blooming with life and color that brought joy to those around her. In quieter moments, Nano found solace in sewing, crafting many doll dresses for her nieces, with the same meticulous attention to detail that she applied to every aspect of her life.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her siblings Ann O'Malley of Randolph, the late Mary Kelley, Patrick Caulfield, Thomas Caulfield, and Michael Caulfield. Nano also held a special place in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly but are comforted by the rich legacy of love and faith she has left behind.

Noreen Teresa Caulfield's life was a journey marked by devotion, service, and the gentle touch of her hands, whether in prayer or in the care of her family and community. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the indelible mark she has left on the world. Her memory will continue to be a guiding light to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main Street, Randolph, Tuesday, February 10th from 4:00-6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date in Ireland.
