MS. BRIDGET NECOLE SHANKS was born Monday, December 20, 1982 to the union of Mrs. Jewelean (Evans) Shanks and the late Mr. Eddie Shanks. She joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church during her childhood. She was a homemaker by trade.

Bridget loved her family, most importantly, her grandkids. She liked to sing and cook. Her family lovingly and with laughter says she also liked to fuss.

On the morning of August 15, 2025 at her residence, Ms. Shanks answered the call to walk into eternity.

Her memories are left to be cherished by her two children: Kenziya Shanks and Edlicia Shanks; two grandchildren: Gabrielle Shanks and Zariyah Gray; her mother: Jewelean Shanks; grandmother: Theola Evans; one sister: Edlisha Whitfield, and two brothers: Steve Jones and Marcus Evans, along with aunts and uncles and other relatives.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will occur Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Turner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Winchester Church of God in Christ Cemetery.

Her viewing period will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.
