Bridget Simoncini

Bridget A Simoncini, 80, of Florida, passed away at home Tuesday surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on August 16th, 1942, daughter of the late Alfred Betti and Christine (Mattero) Betti.
She attended Beal High School and was a life-long resident of Shrewsbury and partial resident of Boynton Beach, Florida. Bridget was an entrepreneur with a successful career in Real-Estate, supporting the visions of her friends and clients to find their dream homes. She opened her first real estate agency, Tuson & Soucy in the early 80's and by 1984, started her own brokerage, Bridget Simoncini Real Estate. She also assisted her husband in running his accounting and tax practice for over 36 years.
Bridget was a member of Pleasant Valley Country Club and was on the Board of Directors, and President of the Ladies Association. It was at Pleasant Valley where she proudly made a hole in one. She frequented Holden and Whitinsville Country Club, and when in Florida enjoyed golfing at Bear Lakes Country Club and playing mahjong.
She was a beautiful and devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Bridget is predeceased by her mother Christine (Mattero) Betti, father, Alfred M. Betti, her brothers, Joseph Betti and Nicholas Betti, and her brother-in-law Richard Preble. She leaves her loving husband of 36 years, Joseph A. Simoncini, her sister Angela Preble of Florida, her brother Alfred G. Betti and his wife Diane, her daughter Tina Brigitini of Shrewsbury, daughter Kimberly Murphy of Florida, a son Joseph J. Tuson of Florida, and daughter, Lori Kehoe and her partner Sean Horan of Worcester, granddaughters, Cara Connor of Longmeadow, Lauren Kehoe of Rhode Island, Bridget Kehoe of Grafton, Ally Kehoe of Worcester, grandsons Ryan Connor and his wife Amie of Boylston, Joseph Murphy of Florida, as well as her 5 great-grandchildren, Nolan and Camden Deane, Charlie and Grace Connor, and Eleanor Kehoe.
Those who knew Bridget loved her for her welcoming and open arms. Her holiday traditions were an expression of her commitment to family, and she was sure to create memorable experiences to treasure for life. Her family, her children, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her loyal companion Bella was always by her side until the very end. She was the matriarch of her family and will be dearly missed.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, March 19th 2023 from 3 pm to 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be celebrated Monday, March 20th from the funeral home, beginning with a procession at 9:30 am to St Mary's Church, 640 Main St. where her Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mt View Cemetery.
