Conroy-Bridget Ann Stanerson was born March 9, 1976, the daughter of Keith and LaMar (Huedepohl) Stanerson. She graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1994. She attended Kirkwood Community College and graduated from La James Cosmetology School in Iowa City. Bridget was united in marriage to Theodore Schaefer on May 9, 1998, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. To this union they were blessed with two daughters Jocelyn and Madison. They later divorced. Bridget was a hairstylist working at The Ladies Room Beauty Parlor in Marengo. More recently, she worked for Williamsburg Manufacturing as a Commercial Coordinator. Bridget enjoyed being a DJ/Karaoke for weddings and events. She loved to have fun with her family and friends, whether it was drinking a Busch Light, boating, dancing or just being the life of the party. Bridget died on Saturday evening, February 3, 2024, at the Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo at the age of 47 years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jocelyn (Beau) Crawford of Marengo and Madison Schaefer of Conroy; three grandchildren, Brody, Weston and Emmersyn; her parents, Keith and LaMar of Conroy; three brothers, Brian (Barb) Stanerson of Conroy, Troy Stanerson of Conroy and Toby (Sonya) Stanerson of Riverside and 8 nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her sister-in-law, Dena Stanerson, wife of Troy Stanerson.
Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 am on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the First Lutheran Church, north of Conroy. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Hope For All thru Compass Memorial Healthcare or First Lutheran Church.
