Bennington - Bridget Ranae Wiggins, age 59, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on October 21, 2024. Born on August 4, 1965, in Omaha, she was the beloved daughter of David Wiggins and Cynthia Ann (Wiggins) Washington. Bridget was a radiant soul, known for her creativity, generosity, loyalty, and unwavering love. She illuminated every space she entered, inspiring those around her with her vibrant spirit.
A natural leader, Bridget was the captain of the South High cheerleading team, graduating from Omaha South High School in 1983. She embraced motherhood with grace, welcoming her first child, David, on January 21, 1985. Bridget's loving nature shone through as she dressed her children in their Sunday best every day, turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.
In the mid-80s, Bridget pursued her dreams of modeling in Houston, Texas, but returned to Omaha in 1986 to raise her family. Over the years, she joyfully welcomed three more children: Daj’sha, Dario, and Diamond. As a single mother, Bridget exemplified strength and determination, graduating with an Associate’s degree in Bookkeeping on November 22, 1994, while raising four young children.
Bridget worked as an assistant manager at Variety Beauty Supply, where her warmth and friendships touched many lives. Her favorite pastimes included watching movies, visiting parks, and spending cherished moments with family. She was fiercely independent, battling primary progressive multiple sclerosis with remarkable courage and resilience.
Bridget's legacy of love and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She is predeceased by her grandfather Aaron Washington, grandmothers Josephine Jones and Nancy Ravenell, and grandfather David Wiggins.
She is survived by her loving parents, David Wiggins and Cynthia Ann Wiggins; her sons, David Steven (Sholonda) Wiggins and Dario Seville Wiggins; daughters, Daj’sha Sade (Kurt) Mayo and Diamond Shantel (Cecil) Smith; brothers Scott A. Washington, Kevin A. Wiggins, Victor L. Hollowell, and David (Tawana) Wiggins III; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Bridget Ranae Wiggins was a shining star, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all. Her laughter, love, and memories will remain etched in our hearts forever.
