Obituary of Brigitte Helga Pruitt
July 8, 1952 - March 28, 2023
Brigitte Helga (Rauch) Pruitt, 70, of Brownstown Michigan passed away on March 28, 2023, surrounded by her family at her side. In 2016, she valiantly battled cancer and remained in remission for two years. Despite the return of her cancer, her unwavering bravery, courage, and Christian faith stayed strong.
Brigitte was born in 1952 preceding her twin brother Gerhard Rauch in Bad Windsheim, Germany to parents, Hans Helmut Rauch and Liselotte Anna (Krell) Rauch. She grew up as a tom-boy with 3 beloved brothers. She worked proudly as a police support specialist for the Brownstown Police Department for 18 years up to her retirement in 2020.
She was a devout Christian and an active member of Stronghold Church in Trenton, Michigan. She enjoyed traveling, biking, walking, singing, playing piano, and reading. Her love for animals and pets was boundless. Above all, she loved her family and friends and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and her memory will endure forever in our hearts.
Brigitte was preceded in death by her father, Hans Helmut Rauch (1929-2005), her brother Rainer Friedrich Rauch (1955-2015), and her mother Liselotte Anna (Krell) Rauch (1929-2019).
Brigitte is survived by her husband Kenny Pruitt, her two brothers Gerhard Rauch and Thomas Rauch, her son Matthew (Ashley) Pruitt, her daughter Melissa Pruitt, her step-son Mark St. John, her step-daughter Lisa Pruitt, her grandson Jackson Pruitt, her nephews Benjamin Rauch and Trevor Rauch, and her niece Allison Rauch. She is also survived by beloved extended family members, friends, and pets including her dog Pookie.
Revelation 21:4
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
