Brock Alvin "Bubsy" Bucholz passed away tragically from a farm accident on his family's farm on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 13 years, 9 months, and 19 days.
He was born on December 4, 2010, to Kirk and Stacy (O'Neill) Bucholz of Shamrock, Pine Hill area, and was a brother to Shane and Chase Bucholz. Brock attended the Black River Falls Middle School as an 8th grader where he participated in football, yearbook, and shooting sports and was previously involved in Skills USA, wrestling, and robotics. Brock was an outgoing kid that made friends everywhere he went and was always the life of the party. From a young age, he lived for all things farm and would happily spend his day in a tractor doing fieldwork that he loved. He enjoyed volunteering with his family, shooting trap and sporting clays with the BRF Shooting Tigers, was an avid reader, kayaking, hunting, 4-wheeling, crafting with his mom, and working in the shop with his dad. Some of his most memorable times were camping at his family's campground, Clutchy Camp, where he was frequently involved in rabble-rousing and could always be found in the thick of chaos with his cousins.
Brock is survived by his beloved parents, Kirk and Stacy, his twin brother, Shane, and his younger brother, Chase, his Uncle Steve (Robin) Bucholz, Aunt Rhonda (Ron) Charneski, Aunt Laura (Sean) Marek, Uncle Randy (Rita) O'Neill, Aunt Lisa (Jeff) Brey, Aunt Kay (Scott) Flock, and Aunt Valerie (Beau) Leis. In addition, he was loved beyond measure by his many cousins, friends, neighbors, and family pets.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Patricia Bucholz and Donna McIntosh, and maternal grandparents Roger and Madonna O'Neill and Aunt Susan (Bucholz) Moore.
The family would like to extend their thanks to family, friends, neighbors, the school district of Black River Falls students and staff, and the community for the outpouring of support, kind gestures, and comforting words during this difficult time. They'd like to express their sincere appreciation for the compassion shown and the efforts given by the Cataract First Responders and Black River Falls Fire Department and Black River Emergency Medical Service.
A Celebration of life will be held at the Bucholz Family Farm at N3068 Slegel Road in Black River Falls on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The family would like to invite everyone to share a meal of Brock's favorite foods. Afterward, there will be a private burial, and Brock will be laid to rest in the Shamrock Union Church Cemetery, where he will be surrounded by generations of grandparents.
If you would like to honor Brock's life, the family requests that in lieu of flowers/plants, memorials may be given to the family to be donated to the Cataract First Responders the Black River Falls Fire Department and Black River Emergency Medical Service.
