Bruce DeWayne Addison, age 44, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Bruce was born in Shreveport to Jackie Bruce and Evon Addison. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend who brought warmth and compassion to all who knew him. Before his health declined in May 2020 due to cancer, Bruce worked as a dealer at Margaritaville Resort and Casino in Bossier City, where he was known for his professionalism and friendly nature.
A true gamer at heart, Bruce loved playing video games and found joy and connection through them. Above all, he loved his family deeply and had a kind and generous spirit that touched many lives.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Betty Addison.
Left to cherish his memory are his three brothers: Bernard Caldwell (Debbie), Michael Tyler (Beverly), and LaDarren Tyler (Christie); three sisters: Thelma Hightower, Shermeka Tyler, and Lisa Schaefer (Martin); along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana.
