Bruce William Adzima, age 82, was born in Hadley, PA, and lived for many years in Oakmont, PA, where he passed peacefully at home on Sunday January 25, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late John and Dorothy Adzima.
Bruce shared 49 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Linda Adzima, building a life rooted in love, commitment, and family. He was a proud and loving father to Todd (Elaine) Pieropan, Timothy (Hannah Weinstock) Adzima, and Chad (Stacey) Adzima, and nothing brought him greater joy than being “Pop Pop” to Nathan, Tara, Luke, Jane, Adam, Mason, and Maisie. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment with them, whether offering guidance, sharing stories, or simply enjoying their company.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom and Gene Adzima.
Bruce dedicated many years to teaching Industrial Arts at the Wilkinsburg School District and Pace School, where he shared not only skills but also patience, encouragement, and a strong work ethic that students carried with them long after leaving his classroom. Outside of teaching, Bruce had a passion for antiques and took great pride in home improvement projects, always working with his hands and finding satisfaction in creating and restoring.
Bruce will be remembered for his quiet strength, kindness, and deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the family he so dearly loved.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday February 14, 2026 from 11 a.m - 2 p.m. and from 4 - 7 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont PA 15139. A service will be held in the funeral home at the conclusion at 7 p.m.
