Bruce M. Baker

TROY -
Bruce M. Baker, 67, of Troy, entered into rest on June 9, 2023.
Bruce was born on September 27, 1955, in Troy. He was the son of the late Hubert Muckle, Rosemary Baker-Williams, and Clayton Williams.
Mr. Baker has resided in Troy and Valley Falls, N.Y.
He graduated from Troy High School and Hudson Valley Community College obtaining a degree in accounting and a degree in Business Administration from Bryant & Stratton College.
Bruce was a "Jack of All Trades" who tutored and mentored others, repaired computers and shared this passion with others so they could learn how to use them. He also worked at Janitronics. He was always available to help others in need. Bruce enjoyed many adventures in on-line gaming and virtual role-playing games. He will be warmly remembered as kind and very friendly, he was always welcoming of others, and he always saw the best in everyone. Bruce was a proud father who believed his children were not just his legacy, but his greatest accomplishment.
Survivors include long-time girlfriend: Cynthia Matala, his children, and their spouses: Justine Pelcher, Bruce Baker II, Rosanna Burt, Adam Baker, Michael Cramer, Brendon Baker. His siblings: four of his brothers: Mark Baker (Pamela Baker), Nicky, James Williams, and Floyd Williams and two sisters: Donna Muckle and Lorrie Muckle. Bruce was grandfather to: 12 Grandchildren and great grandfather to: 4 great-grandchildren. He was uncle to several nieces and nephews who also survive.
In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his son Christopher Baker, and two baby-brothers C. Williams.

Cremation has taken place through the care of The Riverview Funeral Home of Troy.
There will be no calling hours, but a memorial gathering will be held at his son's home (Adam Baker Residence) located at: 841 5th Avenue, Troy, NY 12182 beginning at 3PM on Sunday, June 18, 2023.
Those who wish to make memorial donations in Bruce's memory may do so to either The Community Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
