Bruce Otis "Hippie" Beggs

Bruce O. Beggs, 69 year old resident of rural Isanti, MN passed away on September 26, 2025 at Maplewood Rehab Center in Maplewood, MN. A memorial visitation will be held from 3-5 PM on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date.

Bruce Otis Beggs was born on May 13, 1956 in Duluth, MN to Otis and Patricia (Archer) Beggs. They moved to Needles, CA where Bruce spent the early years of his life. They then relocated to Coon Lake, MN. Bruce graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1974. Following graduation, he enlisted and served in the US Navy. Bruce was very proud of his service to our country, and earned a Good Conduct Award and a National Defense Service Medal. He spent a few years of his working life in Milwaukee, WI and eventually found his way back to MN where he purchased the family home from his father and stepmother.

Bruce is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Noren and her husband, Norm; brother, Scott Beggs; and stepmother, Elsie Beggs.
He is survived by his father, Otis Beggs; sister-in-law, Dana Beggs; nephews, Matthew Beggs, Michael (Kristen) Beggs, William Beggs; niece, Katherine (Jon) Jeppesen; great-nephew, Spencer Beggs and great-niece, Nicole Jeppesen; 1 stepbrother and 3 stepsisters; many step nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Shelly Erickson.
