It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce R. “Randy” Bowling on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 64 years of age. His battle with cancer recently showed his courage in facing life challenges with his humor and a smile. Despite the pain Randy came out a hero and stayed strong to the end.
Randy was born to Bruce E. and the late Mary A. Bowling.
Randy is survived by Elizabeth Bowling; his caregiver Shari Carnes; daughter, Amanda (Lee) Jewell; granddaughter, Everlee; father Bruce (Jean) Bowling; sister, Kim (Don) Henderson; brother, Jim (Cherie Andrews) Bowling; niece, Heather (Eric) Cameron; nephew, Casey Henderson; two great nephews, Patterson J. and Everett W.; and many other family members and friends. He also had a couple of special K9 buddies, Sophie, and Lexi.
Randy enjoyed playing golf and was a big fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and his country music. His love for country music led him to perform in several bands throughout his life and acquired many friends along the way.
Our hearts will forever have a piece missing because he is someone that cannot be replaced. We are so happy that we all have one of the best angels looking down upon us. We just wish he could have stayed with us a little longer.
Visitation will be from 11a.m. to 1p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, where Pastor Gary Brown will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Springhills Cemetery in Champaign County, Ohio.
