Bruce N. Campbell, of Miller Township, Perry County, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, in the comfort of his home, at the age of 82.
Born on October 2, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Wanda M. (Schneider) Campbell.
Bruce served his country with honor and courage in the United States Army, as part of the 82nd and 101st Airborne, during the Vietnam War. He pursued higher education at Harrisburg Area Community College, where he earned his Associate's degree and then continued his studies at Bloomsburg University, where he worked towards a Bachelor's degree. Bruce spent his career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Public Welfare, where he was employed for over 20 years prior to his retirement.
Bruce's life was defined by the things he loved. An avid outdoorsman, he found solace and joy in hunting, fishing, and guns. He was also a proud member of the National Rifle Association. Bruce's faith was personal and he practiced it in his own way, finding peace and purpose in his beliefs. Above all, Bruce was a family man. His unwavering dedication to the well-being of his loved ones was the cornerstone of his existence; and, the joy Bruce felt in the company of his grandchildren was unparalleled. He received the greatest personal satisfaction from the time spent with them and was most content in their presence.
Bruce is survived by his son, Bradley Campbell, of Halifax; his sister, Carol Bender, and her husband, John, of Harrisburg; and his cherished grandchildren, Kassady Nelson, Briar Campbell, Koalton Huggins, Karleigh Huggins, and Karrigan Huggins. He is also survived by a niece, Karen Veronikis. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his daughter, Emily Campbell Huggins, and his great grandson, Kota.
In keeping with his wishes, arrangements for Bruce will be private and at the convenience of the family.
