Bruce Casper Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home on Jan. 6, 2026.
Bruce Wayne Casper, age 74, of Alma Center, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at his home on January 2, 2026. He was born on October 8, 1951, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, to Ralph and Mildred Casper.
Bruce spent his entire life in the Alma Center area, where he built a life rooted in hard work, family, and friendship. He was united in marriage to Peggy Staves; although later divorced, they shared the joy of raising their children.
Bruce worked for many years as a milk truck driver for Ludeman Cheese Factory. Later in life, he was self-employed, operating his own dump truck and excavation business.
Bruce could most often be found at his hobby farm. He especially enjoyed farming, gardening, tinkering on equipment, bird watching and spending time outdoors. He looked forward to watching the Green Bay Packers. He cherished time spent with friends, especially his best friend, Duane Johnson. Bruce was well known for his sense of humor and quick wit-always ready with a joke or story to make others laugh.
Bruce is survived by his children, David (Rita) Casper and Jennifer Hill (Sam Prindle); his grandchildren, Abigail Hill and Ryan Casper; and his siblings, Janet Radke (Dean Wakershauser), Ron Casper, Larry (Ruth) Casper, Raymond (Mary Ann) Casper, and Thelma Thompson. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mildred Casper, and his sister, Wanda.
A celebration of Bruce's life will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 2-5pm at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home in Hixton, WI. Pastor John Paul will officiate a short memorial service at 4pm.
