Bruce Fund, 60, of Wetmore, KS, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at KU Medical Center with family by his side.

He was born March 13, 1965 in Seneca, KS the son of Larry and Betty Jane (Cooper) Fund.

Bruce graduated from Wetmore High School in 1983.

He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Wildcat Construction; built houses with B&L Construction; pole barns all over NE Kansas with Tony Edwards and bridges for Claycamp Construction. Bruce poured a lot of concrete in his lifetime including driveways and on farms, working all over Topeka, Lawrence and NE Kansas. His most recent, and loved job, was working with the Bloom family – but he was a jack of all trades and loved fishing, hunting, barbequing hogs, teaching all the young brats "life skills", and being the neighborhood "Uncle Boo".

Bruce was a member of ABATE District 11; a charter member of the Chopper City Crew and a "founding member" of the Wetmore Men's Club.

Bruce married Martha Fund on July 26, 1997 in Whiting, KS.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Betty Fund and a son Justin Wommack.

Survivors include his wife Martha Fund of Wetmore, KS; three sons, Dylan James Fund, Goff, KS, Kenneth R. Hoelscher, Claremore, OK and Jeremy W. Hoelscher, Arvada, CO; one daughter Desiree L. Fund, Lansing, MI; two brothers, Brad Fund (Sarah), Wetmore, KS and Bryan Fund (Mikayla), Topeka, KS; and six grandchildren.

Bruce will lie in state Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2025 at Wetmore High School, Wetmore, KS. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be given to the Redneck Games – Wetmore c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436
