Bruce Hansen, 71, of Vesta, Minnesota passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at his home due to heart complications. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Bruce John Hansen was born January 18, 1955 to Johannes and Viola (Schardine) Hansen in Tyler, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in Lutheran faith. Bruce graduated from RTR High School in Tyler.
Growing up, Bruce helped his dad on their dairy farm. Over the years he worked for various farmers being a helping hand wherever he could. Bruce spent some time married to Sandy Teeslink before life took them in separate directions. Bruce then married Barbara Bakker and was blessed with his daughter, Nicole, before he and Barbara parted ways.
In 1997, Bruce moved to Boulder City, Nevada where he worked as Internal Maintenance for Station Casinos.
While working at Lake Mead Cruises, Bruce met Kimberly Worley, the love of his life. They were wed in 2005 in Boulder City and welcomed their two children, Kendra and Nolan. Through this marriage Bruce also gained two stepchildren, Kyle and Brittney. In 2015, Bruce and Kimberly moved to Vesta, Minnesota to enjoy retirement.
Bruce was strong and hardworking. He was a good provider for his family and enjoyed playing chess, photography and baking. Bruce also had a green thumb; he loved spending time in his garden tending to his vegetables and various plants. He will be remembered for his funny and stubborn personality.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Kimberly Hansen of Vesta; children, Nicole Hansen of Boulder City, NV, Kendra Hansen of Vesta, Nolan Hansen of Vesta; stepchildren, Kyle Galland , Brittney Bethany, and son-in-law, Tyler Bethany; grandchildren, Gryphon and Finnley; mother, Viola Hansen; siblings, Sandy VanTassel, Jim Hansen, Ted Hansen, Perry Hansen, Barbara Doyscher, and Brian Hansen; as well as extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Johannes Hansen.
