A Darn Good Man.

Mr. Jensen was probably the most liked teacher in the school. He was also a friend. He enjoyed the challenge of teaching French to those of us who couldn't even speak English correctly! I am so sad to hear of his passing! He was a great influence on many, many students! RIP Bruce!

I moved next door to Bruce a few years ago and hadnt lived there very long when Here comes Bruce rolling up in his truck to introduce himself!!
He always would stop by and see how i was doing & if i needed my lawn mowed!!
I always love seeing Bruce drive by & honk & wave!!
He was always so kind and one of my favorite times would be going to lee´s and there´s Bruce hanging out in the motorized shopping carts just people watching and hanging out!!
I loved seeing him mow his lawn with his yellow hard hat on & listening to all his stories and jokes!!
A few times i got to hang in his teepee and listen to him play his rawhide Indian drum & sing!!
I will miss such a sweet neighbor and kind man but Im sure hes Happy to be reunited with his Sweetheart!!
Rest in Peace my Friend till we meet again

I am Jed Hardman. Bruce was a Teacher of mine for 2 years. I will never forget walking into his classroom, him sitting back, looking very relaxed, but when the bell rang, it was time to get to work. He always treated everyone nice, but if you were out of line, you were out of line, something anyone should respect. He demanded respect from the students, made us all learn and of course, there were a lot of laughs out of his class room. He really had command of the English language and I beleive he spoke French as well.
My senior year, 2000, he walked into MR Moss Class room and recited his poem, he had it memorized, it was so long. I think it shocked everyone that anyone could remember such a long poem. It was of course part of his cowboy poetry stuff. Over the years I ran into so many people out and about that knew Bruce. I was to a meeting in Tooele and I said I was from Heber. The guy asked if i knew Bruce. I said of course. The whole table stared at me and then it was like I was just part of them. Everyone at the Table had a story about Bruce or asked if he was still robbing trains or teaching. They all wanted to talk about Bruce and what he did, ya know, Cowboy stuff in general. People remembered him so well, he had a great way of making people like him but not because he wanted to be liked but because he made people reach inside of them for the goodness that is in this world.
He was a character, He was born 100 years later than he was supposed to. He will be missed, he truly was a mountain man and a good man too. He always treated me with a lot of respect, he knew my father Twitch and my Uncles Guy and Jeff well. He always talked about doing timber with them when he was a younger man.
I am sad for the family and really for Heber Valley in General, the Valley is becoming less Heber without a guy like him around to remind us what Life is all about.

Mr. Jensen always made everyday at school fun. English was never boring. French was always, to me, a way to escape. He will never know what it meant.
