Bruce Philip Kittinger, age 88 of Massillon, passed away Thursday afternoon at the Rose Lane Skilled Nursing Center in Massillon, Ohio. He was born April 10, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois and was the son of Paul and Wanda (McElroy) Kittinger. Bruce graduated from Central Catholic High School in Canton, Ohio. He was a Production Scheduler for the Timken Co. and a Navy Veteran. He enjoyed his retirement by spending 21 years in Florida as a snowbird, singing karaoke, going on cruises, bowling, fishing, gardening, spending time with family and making friends from all over the country. He was a member of St. Louis Church in Louisville and later St. Barbara Church in Massillon.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Wanda Kittinger; his sister, Judith Kittinger; his first loving wife of 31 years and mother to his children, Carolyn (Zwick) Kittinger; and his son, Michael Kittinger.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Kathy (Bukoffsky) Kittinger of Massillon; daughter, Elizabeth Kittinger of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Kimberly (Givler) Kittinger of North Canton; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo (Kittinger) and Matthew Cooper of North Royalton; daughter-in-law, Charise (Trenor) Kittinger of Canal Fulton. He had 5 grandsons; Jacob, Jared and Joshua Kittinger and David and Christopher Cooper; 5 stepchildren, who along with their spouses gave him 12 additional grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He loved all his family and will be dearly missed!
The family will receive visitors Tuesday, July 16, 2024 10:00am with Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00am at the Paquelet Falk Funeral Home in Louisville, Ohio. Father Robert Lanterman officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Louis Church Cemetery. Condolences and special memories of Bruce can be shared with his family online at www.paqueletfalk.com
