Bruce Clark Lewis, 75, of Middleville, MI, passed away on December 1, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children. Bruce was born on May 29, 1950, in Grand Rapids, MI, to Kenneth and Dolores (Allerding) Lewis. After graduating from Byron Center High School in 1968, he studied chemistry at Western Michigan University, eventually graduating with a degree in History. He began his career in the automotive industry and retired from the Checker Motors Corporation in Kalamazoo, MI. Bruce was civically engaged, joining the Wyoming Jaycees, where he served as President and JCI Senator. In 1967, he met his beloved bride, Barbara; they married in 1971 and raised two children, Scott and Jennifer. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Dolores; in-laws, Stanley and Vera Ambrose; brothers, Brian and Terry; brother-in-law, Larry Ambrose and sister-in-law Sally Ambrose. He is survived by his wife Barbara, bothers Barry (Betty) of Vero Beach, FL and Gary (Dolly) of Charleston, SC; sister Patrice (Jared) Ross of Tucson, AZ; bothers-in-law Gerald Ambrose of Wyoming, MI and Ken (Anne) Ambrose of Zeeland: sisters-in-law Judy Ambrose of Byron Center and Mary (Robert) Winer of Clifton, VA; son, Scott (Brenda) Lewis of Laguna Beach, CA; daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Womack of Bellevue, WA; grandchildren, Matthew (Anna) Lewis of Middleville, MI, Charlie (Aprill) Lewis of Ft Worth, TX, Bethany (Colby) Pratt of Boise, ID, and Sydney Alderson of Laguna Beach, CA; along with 11 great-grandchildren. An Diana Sweet of Grand Rapids, MI Services will be held at a later date when weather conditions are more favorable. Details regarding the memorial service will be shared once they are finalized.
