Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - St. PetersBruce D. Mack, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend passed away on January 5, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on April 22, 1938, in Scranton, PA, Bruce leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and creativity.
Bruce devoted much of his professional life to Kalwall, where he served as senior sales district manager specializing in architectural products, particularly eco-friendly translucent panels. His dedication to his work reflected his sharp mind and strong work ethic, traits he cherished throughout his career.
Bruce started his college education at Keystone College in Factoryville, PA and furthered his education with a Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University, laying the foundation for a successful career in advertising and sales. Beyond his professional achievements, Bruce was recognized for his warm and welcoming nature. He truly never met a stranger. Many described him as the nicest person they had ever met, a testament to his kindness.
Bruce's passion for writing started early in life and flourished in his retirement when he became an accomplished poet and cherished member of the Oasis Creative Writing group. He nurtured deep connections with his classmates and instructor, sharing a love for the written word that enriched many lives. In addition to pursuing creative writing, retirement also allowed Bruce to deepen and strengthen the bond and friendship with his beloved brother, Don.
A devoted family man, Bruce was especially proud of his relationship with his grandchildren, Greysen, Olive, and Bridgette. His love for family extended to his two beloved cats, Alice and Trixie, named after characters from his favorite TV show, The Honeymooners. Bruce also enjoyed traveling and creating lasting memories with his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife of 47 wonderful years, Dorene Mack; son, Jeffrey (April Sorensen) Mack; daughter, Katrina Mack-Oteyza; brother, Donald (Martha) Mack; niece, Karen Mack; great-niece, Kyra Mack; and a host of other family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Dahl W Mack; mother, Margaret B Mack; son, Gregory Mack; and nephew Josh Lund. As we remember Bruce, we celebrate a life that was not only lived to the fullest, but also enriched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth and humor will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home - 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Peters, MO 63376 - on Saturday, February 21st with a gathering from 12:00 to 2:00 pm and a service at 2:00 pm.
