Bruce Morlock Obituary
Bruce was a 1970 graduate of North Posey High School. He farmed for many years and owned and operated Bruce Morlock Custom Lumber from 1993 until retiring in 2020. He also served on the Village Board in Crossville, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Steve and Brian Morlock.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sherrie (Westfall) Morlock; daughter, Shelly Morlock; grandchildren, Peyton Bromm (Evan) and Reaghan Nelson; nieces, Melissa Perkins (Caleb) and Angela Morlock (Ryan Maroni); nephew, Eric Morlock (Jacy); great-nieces and nephews, Landyn Jackson, Evalyn Perkins, Addie Morlock, Layton Morlock and Elliot on the way; uncle, Robert Walker (Doris Jean); and a special step-son, Isaiah Locher.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IN with Rev. Mike Trotter and Rev. Ron Fellows officiating and burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to his bonus daughter, Diana Reese for her compassion, kindness, and care shown to Bruce.

Bruce is my second cousin; my dad, Harold, and Ruth were first cousins. I didn't know Bruce well at all, but Ruth, Charlie and their families faithfully attended the reunions and I have fond memories of those days.
I used to run into Ruth alot more than either of us would expect and the last few times she was with Bruce.
Please accept my condolences and apologies for not paying respects in person (even at this late date), I've only seen this today. Time does get away from us.
