MICHAEL R. OURSLER

CYNTHIANA, INDIANA

Michael Robert Oursler, 65, born March 10, 1960, to Floyd Robert and Rosalyn Irene (Kissel) Oursler in Evansville, Indiana, passed away, Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana.

He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church where he served as an Extraordinary Minister. He graduated from North Posey High School in 1978 and was employed at Nunn Milling Company at various locations in Cynthiana, Mounts Station and Evansville for over 38 years before retiring after being diagnosed with a brain tumor Glioblastoma Multiforme in March of 2017. He was a director of Community State Bank of Southwestern Indiana and for Cynthiana BanCorporation. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and working on the farm.

Surviving are his wife: Karen (Eickhoff) Oursler; son: Joseph Oursler; daughter: Maria Oursler; sisters: Barbara Drake (David) and Susan Kasting-Oursler (Richard) along with several nieces & nephews, aunts & uncles and many cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. (Noon), Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Resurrection Catholic Church. Father Jerry Pratt officiating with burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery in Cynthiana, Indiana.

A Rosary service will be held at 9:30 a.m. with visitation following until service time, Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the church.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chester Burkett and all that cared for him during his illness and to everyone else for their care, help, cards, prayers and encouraging words and many acts of kindness. God Bless All!
