WILLIAM C. SIMS
CYNTHIANA, INDIANA
William Chesley Sims, 86, of Cynthiana, Indiana, born May 20, 1938, to William F. Sims and Esther (Armstrong) Sims Gentry in Maud, Oklahoma, passed away, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at his home near Cynthiana, Indiana.
He graduated in 1956 from Crossville High School. He was a mechanic and welder, and worked for Superior Oil, and Mobil Oil. He enjoyed horses, livestock, fishing and was a member of the Saddle Club.
Surviving are his daughters: Wendy Stone and Sauney Davis (Tom); 6 grandchildren: Dustin Weasel (Audrey), Mitchell Davis, Madison Murray (Gavin), Garrett Stone, Kaleena & Haley Groff along with 6 great grandchildren: Atleigh Groff, Cohen Guinn, Chesley & Letty Hensley and Hayden & Reagan Neville.
Preceding him in death were his parents; step-father who raised him: Leonard Gentry and a sister: Joan Allen.
No funeral services will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Linda E. White Hospice House, 611 Harriet Street, Evansville, Indiana 47710.
