Bruce L. Mosley

Bruce Lamont Mosley Sr., age 57, of Felton, Delaware, transitioned peacefully on the morning of January 28, 2026, at his daughter's home in Laurel, Delaware, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bruce was born on September 26, 1968, to the late Joshua Benson and Frances B. Burris. He was affectionately known as Brew, Cuz, Dad, and Uncle Bruce.

Bruce grew up in Felton and was raised in a loving and caring home by parents, Herman C. Mosley and Frances B. Mosley, who loved the Lord. As a child, he attended Berrytown Church in Felton, Delaware. He later attended St. James Union AME Church in Frederica, Delaware, where he was a member of the Men's Choir and The Ensemble Choir under the leadership of the late Reverend Ervin Williams and Pastor Hayward P. Henry. In his most recent years, he attended New Beginnings Community AME Church in Frederica, Delaware, under the leadership of Reverend Rita Mishoe Paige, where he sang in the church choir.

Bruce's education began at Lake Forest North Elementary. He attended W.T. Chipman Middle School, where he found his love for baseball. Baseball was one of Bruce's first great loves, and from his youth to adolescence, he earned many trophies that reflected his dedication and talent. He also attended Lake Forest High School, where he played on the high school basketball team with his best friend, Darren Hammond.

After high school, Bruce worked at ILC in Frederica, Delaware, and later attended Sussex Technical School in Georgetown, Delaware, for the electrician trade, where he received his certification. He worked for Nanticoke Homes in Greenwood, Delaware, and worked as a General Maintenance man for various properties in the Dover, Delaware area before working for himself as a certified electrician.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents.

Bruce leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved children, Bruce Mosley Jr. (Dora) of Berlin, MD, Talexis Hatton (Tony) of Laurel, DE, Teric Henry of Seaford, DE, and their mother, former wife and friend, Avis Henry of Seaford, DE; grandchildren, Tony Hatton Jr., Zaria Hatton and Harmony Hatton of Laurel, DE; siblings, Sharon Burris of Harrington, DE, Herman Mosley, Jr. of Harrington, DE, and Herman Mosley of Pennsylvania; one beloved niece, Shanda Mitchell of Magnolia, DE; one aunt, Delema Carter of Felton, DE; and a host of nephews, great nephews, great aunts, uncles, great uncles, cousins and many special and beloved friends.
