Bruce Hammond Muller, 72, of Union Bridge, MD entered the presence of God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior on March 12, 2026 at home under Bridging Life hospice care. He was born July 15, 1953 at Gettysburg Hospital to Henry Thomas and Lillian Gist Muller. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Gail Muller (nee Jackson) who he married August 10, 1974 at Calvary Bible Church, Westminster, MD.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Samuel Bennett and Kellie Lyn Muller (nee Kirk) of Taneytown, Benjamin David and Sarah Larlyn Muller (nee Boelte) of Mount Wolf, PA, and Laura Jane and Andrew Thomas Mouring II of New Windsor.
He is also survived by grandchildren Caleb H., Noah C., Levi W., Anna C., Micah J., Gabriel R., Grace E., William H., and Jackson E. Muller.
He is additionally survived by siblings Thomas H. and Ethel C. Muller of Westminster and Loretta J. and Roger H. Wright of New Windsor.
Surviving in-laws include Judy Sloan (widow of the late Will Sloan), Richard and Diane Jackson, Paul and Edie Jackson, Debbie Wisner and John Saunders, Daniel and Peggy Jackson, Gary and Tracey Jackson, Sue Jackson and Jeff Snyder, and Steve and Paula Jackson. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bruce was a 1971 graduate of Westminster Senior High School. Immediately after graduation, he apprenticed to Harry D Lambert Masonry, Inc. He became a mason and worked for Harry Lambert from 1971-1995, rising to the position of job foreman. He was a self-employed masonry contractor from 1995 until he retired in 2017. A true artist of his trade, Bruce was known for his steady work ethic and craftsmanship.
His hobbies included woodworking, oil painting, gardening, riding his motorcycle, reading, and shooting clay birds at the Littlestown Fish and Game Club, where he enjoyed the company of fellow members. He also enjoyed sailing with John Steinle and spending time with friends Bruce Devilbiss, Dan Ceary and Harry Lambert. His children and grandchildren were truly his pride and joy. He was a board member of the Salem UMC Cemetery, Inc., serving as treasurer and laying out graves.
He was an active member of Wakefield Valley Bible Church. Through the years, he was a board member, treasurer of the building fund, adult Sunday School teacher, helped in Awana, Pioneer Club, Camp Tohiglo, hosted bible study small group in his home and sang in the choir. His faith was lived out in his life and he shared that faith with others as the Lord led him.
The family will receive Friends Friday March 20, 2026 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm and Saturday March 21, 2026 from 10-11 am at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd., Winfield, MD 21784. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Jones of Wakefield Valley Bible Church officiating.
Interment will be in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery followed by a reception at Wakefield Valley Bible Church, 2206 Old New Windsor Pike, New Windsor, MD 21776.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wakefield Valley Bible Church, Bridging Life Hospice, or Carroll County Food Sunday.
