It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear son, Bruce Alan Nordlof, on April 23, 2025 at the age of 54. Bruce was born on March 27, 1971 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, Illinois during the Final Four basketball games. He is survived by his mother, Nancy (Jonnie) Bowman; his father, John (Gail) Nordlof; his sisters, Jennifer (Brad) Eckerdt and Jaimie (Luke) Dewey; his children, Brandyn Tyler, Katelin Marie, Maya Justine, and Miles August; an uncle, Keith (Janie) Nordlof; and a cousin, Dawn (William) Morgan. Bruce graduated from Jefferson High School in Rockford in 1989. Through the years, he held a variety of jobs: finishing furniture, welding for Nissan lift trucks, driving over-the-road semi-trucks, managing transportation for a food company, and for the last 7 years, making wine and keeping all the equipment running at his family's business, Northleaf Winery in Milton, Wisconsin. Bruce had a good heart, and lived his life in the present, accepting whatever and whoever came his way without judgement. He was an exceptional bowler and proud of his hole in one on a local golf course. He will be remembered for his colorful descriptions and sound effects. He loved action movies and shows, and was a connoisseur of pizza, snacks, and candy. He asked that a party should be held upon his passing. In fulfillment of that wish, we invite you to send him off with your favorite memory or story to share at the new Rubber Ducky Country Market and Winery, formerly Northleaf Winery, at 232 S Janesville Street, Milton, Wisconsin on Tuesday May 13th, 2025 from 5pm-8pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial tributes be directed to Bruce's medical fund to assist with expenses. The Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Milton is assisting the family.
