Bruce Walker Stowe

Mr. Bruce Walker Stowe, age 91, passed away on October 18, 2022. Bruce was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Merrill and Dorothy Stowe. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gordon, his first wife Patty, and his second wife Jane.
Bruce is survived by his children; Beth Neihof, Susan Fletcher, and Cindy (John) Lasonczyk. Grandchildren; Katie (Peter) Lanigan, Nathan (Melissa) Neihof, Christopher Brumley, Matthew Brumley, Julie Lasonczyk and Robbie Lasonczyk. Great-Grandchildren; Ella Lanigan, Noah Lanigan, and Luke Neihof.
Bruce was a graduate of New Trier High School and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation, he was employed by General Electric and worked for GE for 34 years. Having invented a wire stripper device, he owned his own business and housed his machine shop in the basement of his Finneytown home.
Bruce had many hobbies he was passionate about. He loved coins and collected them for 65 years before having to finally give up his collection. He also loved pipe organs and for a while had a small pipe organ in his house. Although he attempted to learn to play, he would often bribe his friend, Charlie, with homemade pies in exchange for an evening of organ music. Other interests included wood working, making several pieces of furniture for his home, train steam engines, cooking (and eating), classical music, Cincinnati Pops concerts, musical theatre, attending church, playing bridge and cribbage. The highlight of his retirement years was traveling around the world with his wife Jane and spending time at their lake house on Platte Lake in Beulah, Michigan. Bruce loved his home on Platte Lake and was an avid fisherman, often feeding the neighbors around him when the catch was bountiful.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Monday October 24, 2022, at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (Once on the grounds of the Memorial Park, follow the light blue line). Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and the funeral service will begin at Noon. Burial immediately following.
