Bruce Yale Tapper, 94, died on July 8, 2024. He was born in Hoboken, the son of Arthur and Elsie Tapper. He attended Lehigh University and John Hopkins Medical School.
He was a brilliant physician and extraordinary diagnostician who helped countless families over the years. He was affiliated with Englewood Hospital (now Englewood Health) and then an attending physician at The Daughters of Miriam. He lived in Tenafly, Park Ridge and Pearl River.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Lois Tapper, with whom he built a life full of love. He is also survived by his devoted children - Stuart and his wife Dori, and Cindy (Fabrikant) and her husband Bruce. He was an adored grandfather and great-grandfather. Bruce will be truly missed by his family and friends.
The funeral will be private, arrangements by Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel. The family will observe Shiva on Thursday, July 11 from 3pm - 6pm and 7pm - 9pm at the Clubhouse at The Club at Pearl River, 100 Schindler Drive, Pearl River, NY 10965.
Donations can be made in Bruce's honor to The Metropolitan Opera, Lehigh University, or Englewood Health.

Sad to hear of Bruce´s passing. I was his physician until I retired and it was a great honor to care for him. I will always remember him as a wonderful person. May his memory be a blessing.
