Bruce A. Wartick passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on April 6, 2023.
Bruce was born in 1961 in Jacksonville, FL and lived most of his younger years in Niagara, WI with his family. He spent his early adulthood in supported living arrangements in Marinette, WI which he enjoyed immensely. Bruce spent many happy years working at Goodwill Industries in Marinette, WI. In 2018 Bruce relocated to Manitowoc where he lived with his sister and worked at Ascend Services. Bruce later moved to Cappaert House with a group of great guys in Manitowoc, WI in 2022. He was an active participant in Special Olympics, he loved doing puzzles and spent many hours with books and catalogs looking at the pages and pictures. Bruce spent a lot of time with his family, especially his brothers Dennis and Steve who enjoyed going to restaurants, movies, and bowling with Bruce. We will miss his smile, laughter, and soft handshakes.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Carmen Wartick (2010) and Carl Wartick (2022) originally from Niagara, WI, and an infant brother Gary (1963). Bruce is survived by his sister Mayra (Jill) Short of Manitowoc, WI, 6 brothers: Dale Wartick of CA, Carl Jr. (Beth) Wartick also of CA, Ken (Lisa) Wartick of AR, Rodney Wartick of Niagara, WI, and Dennis Wartick and Steve Wartick both of Manitowoc, WI. He is further survived by eight nieces and nephews located in California, New York, Washington, Arkansas, Virginia and Manitowoc, WI.
Bruce has positively impacted many lives and will continue to do so through his gift of organ and tissue donation.
Cremation has taken place and per Bruce and his family's wishes, there will be no services held.
