BROOKVILLE — Bruce W. Wehrly, 86, of Brookville, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born Nov. 5, 1936, in Brookville to the late Clarence and Ella (Crowley) Wehrly.
He retired as the Maintenance Director at Grace Brethren Village in Englewood; did carpentry work throughout his life; was always a farmer at heart, and enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law Ioda and Loren Brown, and special nephew Nick Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Connie Wehrly of Brookville; children Cindy (Rick) Nealeigh of Laura, Mindy Whittington of Woodbury, Tennessee, Nathan Wehrly of Taos, New Mexico, Scott (Tonya) Horrigan of Camden and Rachelle (Nick) Tipton of Clayton; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends, and his special little dog Toby.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church, 500 W. South Street, Arcanum.
Burial will follow at Wares Chapel Cemetery in West Manchester. Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.
